史前人對長毛象的利用 Prehistoric Humans andWoolly Mammoths

聰明的人類能夠精巧的運用智慧，製作獵殺工具，設置陷阱，誘殺身軀龐大的長毛象。人類充分利用長毛象，取其肉與脂肪作為食物，取其毛皮至製成衣服或袋子，骨頭除了搭建象骨小屋（huts）之外，還可用來燃燒取暖或烤肉，象牙甚至用來作為雕刻，製作成雕像與項鍊。人類的生活、居住甚至藝術創作，竟都與長毛象息息相關。

Early man used their intelligence to set up traps and catch woolly mammoths larger than themselves. They take full advantage of the catch. Its meat and fat were used as food, fur as clothes and bags, bones as huts and fuels for fire, and ivory as sculptures and jewelry. Their daily lives and their art were closely related to woolly mammoths.
