2015年4月4日月全食過程，18:15初虧，19:54食既，20:00食甚，20:06生光，21:45復圓，臺灣全程可見。月全食發生的時機正逢滿月，月球進入地球的本影區，而使亮面被遮掩造成虧食。在全食階段，因太陽光透過地球大氣層的折射與散射，可見進入地球本影區的月亮呈現暗紅色。整個過程十分精彩，以肉眼即可窺見天地之奧秘，為容易觀察的天象之一。本作品分別以廣角鏡頭和長鏡頭記錄月全食的連續變化，以及月球通過地球的本影。

A total lunar eclipse occurred on April 4, 2015. First contact was at 6:15 pm; second contact at 7:54 pm; third contact at 8:00 pm; greatest eclipse at 8:06 pm and fourth contact at 9:45 pm. This lunar eclipse could be viewed all around Taiwan. A total lunar eclipse only occurs when a full moon enters the earth’s umbra (shadow). During the total eclipse phase, due to the refraction and scattering of the sunlight through the earth’s atmosphere, the moon appears red. The entire process is spectacular. It is one of the astronomical phenomena that is relatively easy to see with the naked eye. These images of the successive changes during a total lunar eclipse were obtained with wide-angle and long focus lenses.
