微腳蠅為低海拔常見的昆蟲種類，腳上的跗節為白色，如穿白襪或戴著白手套般，令人印象深刻。交尾時雄蟲通常在上，以前腳跗節攀搭在雌蟲的肩上。但受傷的雄蟲，是否會放棄繁衍後代的神聖任務？不會的，就算斷了前腳，雄蟲依然會負起重任，努力地與雌蟲在一起。

Micropezid flies are common in lowland areas. Their tarsi are white, resembling socks or gloves. During mating, the male is usually on top with its front leg tarsi on the thorax of the female. Will this injured male give up on its sacred mission of reproduction? The answer is no. Even with a broken front leg, this male must fulfill its reproductive responsibility.
