.許志遠-螞蟻雄兵 (The Ant Battalion )

螞蟻是我們熟悉的一類社會性昆蟲，也是居家親近的昆蟲之一。只要殘留的食物未清除乾淨，他們就會扮演起清潔大隊的角色。小小的螞蟻王國裡，有鮮明的階級之分，分別為：蟻后、雄蟻、工蟻以及兵蟻，每個階級都扮演著重要的角色；隨著地球環境的變遷，依靠群體的力量取得食物、生長、發育及繁衍後代，成功地適應了地球上各種惡劣的環境，造就了繁榮鼎盛的螞蟻王國。

Antsare eusocial insects we are all very familiar with. They are also one of the insects regularly seen in homes. Whenever scraps of food are not cleaned up, they will act as the cleaning squad. A visible caste system exists within each colony, which consists of queens, drones, workers and soldiers, with each playing a special role in the system. Their success in so many environments has been attributed to their social organization and their ability to tap resources, foster and reproduce offspring.
