.林至鴻-守「蛛」待兔 (Waiting for the Prey)

這隻黑綠鬼蛛將稍微彎曲的葉子兩端用絲連起來，做成隧道狀的巢，躲在裡面靜待獵物上網。牠腳搭在巢外的網上，感受到外面的網，因獵物上網而震動時便立即行動。第一張圖為他原本的狀態，第二張受到驚嚇後將腳縮回巢中，第三張則是牠捕捉獵物的網，其左側缺口處中央的絲為連接巢的絲。

This Araneus mitificus spider has used its thread to sew up two tips of the leaf to create a tunnel nest, and then hiding inside, it waits for its prey. Its legs are hanging out touching the web, once prey lands on the web, it immediately springs into action.  The first photograph is the original posture; the second photograph shows its legs folding back into the nest after a fright; the third is the web used for trapping. The left sided thread close to the center web is the thread that connects the nest.
