.黃印通、林淑英-危機四伏 ( Danger Lies Beneath)

蝶類一生極為短暫，為了繁衍後代，常羽化後不久即交尾。當蝶類進行交尾時，同時也是防備最弱的時刻，因在過程中雄蝶尾端的把握器會緊抓著雌蝶的尾部，即使受到驚擾或危險雄蝶的把握器也不鬆開。圖中正在交尾的沖繩小灰蝶，冷不防被花上的蜘蛛獵食，還有另一隻蜘蛛躲在花後伺機而動；雄蝶頭部已被吞食，但雄蝶尾端的把握器還抓住雌蝶，使雌蝶難以脫逃。

As butterflies are short lived, they mate not long after they go through eclosion in order to assure reproduction of the next generation. However, their defense ability against predators is at its lowest during mating. As the clasper at the tail end of the male grabs tightly onto the tail of a female, it will not let go even when under attack.  This male Zizeeria maha has fallen victim to a hungry spider with another spider lurking behind the petals, ready to strike. The male’s head has been devoured, but being so tightly clasped, there’s virtually no room for the female to escape.
