.范姜俊承-水波信號 ( Vibratory Signals)

雄水黽利用兩隻前足拍打水面，形成一道道的水波，如同拍發電報一樣，一方面可吸引雌性的注意，另一方面還有宣示領域的功能，這個行為被稱為水波信號。這隻雄水黽正發出信號警告正在靠近的同類。牠邊移動邊拍打水面，所形成的水波相互交疊成美麗畫面，是典型水波的干涉現象。

Themale species of the Aquarius remigis creates streaks of waves by using their two front legs to hit the surface of the water. Similar to sending a telegram, the male attracts the female’s attention in one hand and claims its territory in the other. This action is known as Vibratory Signals. This Aquarius remigis is sending a warning signal to the same species nearby. Swaying and hitting the water at the same time, it creates beautiful overlapping patterns on the surface of the water. A typical phenomenon of wave interference.
