( Intricate Yet Complicated Neural Network)
Thehuman brain contains hundreds of billions of nerve cells. Nerve cells connect to each other to form neuron networks and transmit information via synapses. It enables a person to sense, move and to have reflexes. This project takes samples of nerve cells from the cerebral cortex of a fetal rat for cultivation. Upon maturity, it will be dyed twice. (Microtube Associated protein 2) and the DAPI. Under fluorescent microscope the nerve cells are revealed as intricate and unique. Scientists often use this type of nerve cells sample to develop clinical treatment for neural damages and abnormal medicine intake such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson disease and stroke.
